Fractional CIO Services

Technology leadership for a business that has outgrown tool-by-tool decisions.

As your business becomes more complex, technology decisions affect revenue, client experience, data, risk, staff time, and your ability to move forward.

They cannot continue to be made one tool, one contractor, or one emergency at a time.

Fractional CIO support provides the direction, prioritization, oversight, and quality control your business needs as it grows.

Senior technology leadership without hiring a full-time CIO.

The problem is not always that no one is doing the work.

You may already have developers, assistants, automation specialists, web designers, software vendors, or internal team members completing technical tasks.

Each person may be doing exactly what was requested.

But who is responsible for seeing whether all of those decisions support the same business?

Without technology leadership, the founder often becomes the person who must:

  • Decide which tool or contractor to trust

  • Translate business goals into technical instructions

  • Notice when two projects conflict

  • Keep track of unfinished implementation

  • Determine whether promised work was completed properly

  • Understand the risks hidden between systems

  • Prevent every new idea from creating another disconnected solution

  • Evaluates the cost of technology for a new venture

The kitchen may be full of capable cooks while no one has seen the menu.

You set the direction. I translate it into technology decisions.

Technology can help a business grow, or it can contribute to it stalling out.

The founder remains responsible for the business vision, priorities, and budget, but shouldn't be responsible for designing the technological solutions that make that vision possible.

As your Fractional CIO, I help turn the vision into a practical technology direction.

The work may include:

  • Assessing the systems, platforms, and technical relationships already in place

  • Identifying risks, gaps, dependencies, and unnecessary complexity

  • Developing priorities and a practical technology roadmap

  • Translating business needs into clear requirements

  • Evaluating tools, vendors, proposals, and implementation plans

  • Directing contractors and technical specialists

  • Coordinating work across systems and projects

  • Supervising implementation and verifying completion

  • Protecting continuity, quality, data, and client experience

  • Helping you decide what should be built now, later, differently, or not at all

The goal is not more technology.

The goal is better technology decisions in service of the business.

This is technology leadership, not another pair of hands waiting for a task list.

Fractional CIO support is not:

  • An unlimited bank of technical labor

  • A 24-hour help desk or emergency service

  • A replacement for the founder’s business judgment

  • A promise that every contractor, platform, or project will behave perfectly

  • Another person enthusiastically adding tools without considering what already exists

I may build selected pieces where that is the most sensible choice.

I may also direct other specialists, review their work, clarify requirements, or tell you that a proposed project should not be built at all.

My responsibility is to the integrity of the whole system, not to keeping any particular tool or contractor busy.

Technology judgment grounded in both systems and business.

I'm Jeanne Andrus.

I spent 25 years in corporate information technology, working with complex systems, major implementations, and the business decisions technology is meant to support.

Since 2008, I have also run my own coaching and service businesses.

That combination matters.

I understand the technical work, but I also understand what it is like to be the business owner responsible for the vision, the revenue, the client experience, and the consequences when the pieces do not work together.

I help you see the whole structure, make sound decisions, and ensure that the people doing the technical work are building what the business actually needs.

Fractional CIO support may be right for you if...

  • Your business has proven offers, clients, and meaningful revenue

  • Technology decisions are becoming more consequential

  • You have multiple platforms, contractors, projects, or team members

  • You are spending money on technology without enough reliable oversight

  • Important implementation details repeatedly fall back into your hands

  • Growth, events, new offers, or team changes are creating additional complexity

  • You need someone who can understand the business and also challenge the technical plan

  • You no longer want to serve as the accidental CIO

Do you need a Foundation or a Fractional CIO?

The Business Systems Foundation is a defined strategy and implementation engagement designed to build or strengthen the connected path that brings people into your business and moves them toward working with you.

Fractional CIO Services provide broader technology leadership, prioritization, vendor direction, and implementation oversight across an established and increasingly complex business.

One builds the essential structure.

The other helps steer the technology decisions that follow.

The Fractional CIO Engagement

The standard Fractional CIO engagement is $3,500 per month for an initial three-month term.

The exact priorities, responsibilities, working capacity, and communication structure are defined before the engagement begins.

Large implementation projects or additional specialist work are scoped separately so ongoing leadership is not consumed by one unexpected build.

One conversation with me. No sales team. No handoff.
